Community Events

IBEW Local Union 364 is actively involved in a wide variety of community events.  IBEW members give generously of their time and money to charities and community projects all over Northern Illinois.

Here is a list of projects, past and present, that we have been involved in:

  • Local 364 donated left over toys from the IBEW Local 364 picnic to local charities.
  • Members and Union leaders volunteered time as Salvation Army bell ringers and to work in food pantries packing food boxes.
  • Look for IBEW Local 364’s annual display in the Holiday Festival of Lights. The festival runs in the evening the entire month of December at Sinissippi Park in Rockford.  Local 364 members can take special pride in the festival because many 364 members over the years donated their time and skills to run electrical power throughout the park to make the festival possible.
  • Local 364 participates in the all union MDA Bowl-a-Thon to raise money for the fight against muscular dystrophy.  Local 364 usually raises the most in contributions to help fight the crippling disease.
  • IBEW Local 364 routinely donates both labor any material for various Habitat for Humanity projects throughout the area.
  • IBEW Local 364 sponsors a Labor Day Parade float and Miss Labor Day contestants each year in Rockford.
  • Each year, IBEW members staff the Project First Rate booth at Rockford's "On the Waterfront" festival.
